About Home Build Calculators

Home Build Calculators publishes small, single purpose tools for planning ordinary building and renovation work. Each tool asks for the dimensions you can actually measure on site, shows the formula it applies, states the coverage or yield assumption behind the number, and rounds the answer up to a unit you can buy. The written guides sit alongside the tools and explain the parts a number cannot cover, such as surface preparation, drying time and where a joint should move rather than crack.

Who publishes this site

This site is published and operated by MY Dijital Pazarlama Ajansi, a digital marketing agency founded in 2014 and based at Yunus Emre Mah. 2031 Sk. No:1A/1, 31300 Iskenderun, Hatay, Turkiye. The founder and general manager of the agency, Murat Yilmaz, writes and reviews the material published here. Editorial questions, corrections and legal notices reach a person at bilgi@mydijital.com.tr. There is no anonymous editorial board behind this site and no third party writes for it.

Why these tools exist

Most material questions on a job site are simple arithmetic wrapped in an unfamiliar unit. A wall is measured in square meters, paint is sold by the liter, tile arrives in boxes, concrete is ordered by the cubic meter and lumber is priced by the board. The arithmetic is easy once the conversion and the coverage rate are in front of you, and it goes wrong when either one is guessed. These calculators keep the conversion and the assumption visible so you can check the result rather than trust it blindly.

What the tools cover

Twenty calculators run on this site, and the full tool index lists them in one place. They cover surfaces and finishes, floors and tiling, structural mixes, outdoor work, ground materials and rough cost planning. Common starting points are the paint calculator for interior repainting, the concrete calculator for slabs and footings, the roofing calculator for squares and underlayment, and the waste factor calculator when you need to decide how much surplus to order. Outdoor and ground work forms its own group: decking, fence, insulation, lumber, mortar, gravel, mulch and garden soil. The guides section explains the practical steps that surround those numbers.

How a page is written and checked

A calculator starts from a published source: a model code, a standards body, a manufacturer data sheet, a government agency document or plain geometry that anyone can verify by hand. The formula is written down, tested against a worked example calculated manually, then checked at the edges with zero values, mixed units and unusually small or steep inputs. Every source used across the site is listed on the methodology and sources page, and the way mistakes are reported and fixed is described in the editorial policy and corrections log.

How this site is funded

This site is supported by advertising; ads never influence calculator results. Advertising pays for hosting, for the time spent verifying coverage figures and for keeping the tools working. Advertisements are labeled, they are placed so a reader can tell them apart from the calculator and the article text, and no advertiser sees a page before it is published. Nobody can buy a mention inside a guide, a change to a formula or a better position in a list of tools. Where a page carries a sponsored or affiliate link in the future, that link will be disclosed at the top of the page.

What this site is not

This site is an independent educational resource. It is not affiliated with any paint, flooring, hardware or building product manufacturer, and naming a product is never an endorsement. The tools produce planning estimates rather than engineering calculations, bids or code approvals. Anything that affects structure, life safety, drainage, electrical, gas, plumbing or mechanical systems belongs with a licensed professional in your own jurisdiction. The limits of every result are set out in the disclaimer and in the terms of use.
