Who we are
The website at https://homebuildcalculators.com, referred to here as Home Build Calculators, we or us, is operated by MY Dijital Pazarlama Ajansi, located at Yunus Emre Mah. 2031 Sk. No:1A/1, 31300 Iskenderun, Hatay, Turkiye. We publish construction planning calculators and reference guides for homeowners, remodelers and trade professionals, covering topics such as concrete slab volume, roofing squares, framing lumber counts, drywall sheets, paint coverage and insulation quantities. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, why it is collected, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. It applies to every page on this domain. It does not apply to other websites we link to, such as manufacturer specification sheets or building code portals.
The short version
You do not need an account to use this site. We do not ask you to register, and we do not sell personal information. The numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser. The main third party on the site is Google, which provides our audience measurement and our advertising. You can change your advertising and analytics choices at any time using the two buttons at the end of this page.
Calculator inputs stay in your browser
Every calculator in the tool index runs in your browser using client side JavaScript. When you enter a slab length, a roof pitch, a wall height or a project budget, that value is processed on your own device. It is not transmitted to our servers, not written to a database, and not attached to any profile about you. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it. Where a tool remembers a previous entry so you do not have to retype it, that value is held in your browser local storage on your device only, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Information collected automatically
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard web server logs when a page or file is requested. These logs contain the IP address of the request, the date and time, the page or asset requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system reported by your user agent string. Logs are used to keep the site online, to diagnose errors such as a broken calculator script, and to detect abuse such as automated scraping or denial of service attempts. Raw server logs are retained for a short operational period and are then deleted or overwritten.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 with the measurement ID G-XWWX2XRQ95 to understand which calculators and guides people find useful. Analytics tells us aggregated things, such as how many people opened the concrete slab calculator this month, which pages are entered from search, and whether a page loads slowly on mobile. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4; the IP address is used transiently to derive an approximate location, usually at city level, and is then discarded. We do not upload user identifiers, email addresses or calculator values to Analytics. After you allow analytics, the site may send a non personal event that records the tool name and the selected unit; it does not send your measurements.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdSense, publisher ID pub-3547454838106643. Advertising pays for the hosting, the source research and the time spent maintaining and correcting the calculators. Advertising never influences a calculator result, a formula or the order in which tools are listed, as stated in the editorial policy.
Third party advertising
When you grant the relevant advertising permissions, third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other websites.
Where your choice permits advertising storage and personalization, Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to select and measure ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Google previously used a cookie known as the DoubleClick DART cookie for this purpose. The DART cookie has been replaced by the identifiers listed in the cookie table below, which may be set from domains including doubleclick.net, googlesyndication.com, googleadservices.com and google.com after the relevant permission. You may opt out through the Google advertising settings page linked in the next section.
Google and other vendors and ad networks may serve ads on this site through their own systems. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services in the Google partner sites notice and in the Google advertising technologies notice. Before advertising consent, Google tags may load and send limited cookieless requests under Consent Mode, but advertising storage, user-data and personalization signals remain denied. If you later consent to permitted storage, even a non-personalized ad may use allowed identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will not break the calculators, because they do not need cookies to compute a result.
Consent and your choices on this site
Before any Google measurement or advertising tag, this site applies one consent default for every visitor. The analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and personalization_storage states all start denied; only functionality and security storage remain available for necessary site operation. Advertising identifiers are redacted while advertising consent is missing. Google Analytics and the static AdSense library may load under Advanced Consent Mode and send limited cookieless requests, but they cannot treat storage or personalization as granted. The manual display-ad slot is not initialized until Google Privacy and Messaging returns successful, explicit TCF purpose and vendor permissions.
Your analytics answer is stored locally in your browser under the key hbc-analytics-consent:v2 so the site does not ask again on every visit. Choosing Allow analytics grants analytics storage only; it never grants advertising storage, user-data or personalization. Advertising and cookie choices are handled separately by Google Privacy and Messaging, and the advertising button below reopens that vendor dialog so you can grant or withdraw those permissions. A withdrawal immediately updates the consent signals to denied; reloading also ensures previously initialized third-party tags start under the new choice. To clear the analytics answer manually, clear local storage for this site, reload the page and choose again.

Legal bases for processing under GDPR and UK GDPR

- Consent, Article 6(1)(a), for analytics cookies, advertising cookies and personalized advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time using the buttons at the end of this page.
- Legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f), for keeping short lived server logs so the site can be run securely and faults can be fixed, and for replying to messages you send us.
- Legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c), where we must retain records or respond to a lawful request.
Where Google acts as an independent controller for advertising data, the Google terms and privacy notice govern that processing.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data held about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because this site has no accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you beyond a short lived log entry, so please include enough detail, such as an approximate date, time and IP address, for a request to be actionable. Send requests to bilgi@mydijital.com.tr and we will reply within the period set by the applicable law, normally one month.
Data retention
Server logs are kept for a short operational period and are then deleted or overwritten. Aggregated analytics reporting is retained inside Google Analytics according to the retention setting on that property. Advertising data held by Google is retained on the Google schedule. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter it concerns.
Notice for California residents under CCPA and CPRA
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. Advertising cookies used on this site may still count as sharing under the CPRA definition, because information can be used to serve ads based on your activity across different sites. To opt out, use the advertising button at the end of this page and decline advertising storage, or use the Google Ads Settings and Digital Advertising Alliance links above. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one. California residents may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, to delete it and to correct it, and will not be treated differently for exercising those rights. The categories that may be collected are identifiers such as IP address and cookie identifiers, internet activity such as pages viewed and the referring page, and approximate geolocation derived from an IP address. Children
This site is written for adults planning construction and renovation work. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has provided personal information, write to bilgi@mydijital.com.tr and it will be deleted.
International transfers
Our hosting provider, Google Analytics and the Google advertising systems operate servers in several countries, including the United States. If you use the site from outside those countries, your information may be transferred to and processed there. Where such a transfer involves personal data from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, it relies on the transfer mechanisms our providers make available, such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU to US Data Privacy Framework.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The calculator scripts contain no third party trackers other than the ones named in this policy, and administrative access is limited to the people who maintain the site. No website can promise perfect security, but this site does not hold sensitive personal data in the first place.
Links to other sites
Guides and calculators link out to manufacturer coverage charts, standards bodies and government agency documents so you can verify a figure yourself. Those references are collected on the methodology and sources page. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
If we add a service, change an advertising partner or alter what is collected, this page is updated and the effective date at the top is changed. Material changes are flagged in a short line at the top of the page for at least 30 days. The conditions under which you may use the site are set out separately in the terms of use, and the limits of the calculator results are described in the disclaimer.
